This is not a show to me.
I am not a lawyer, and I am not here to convince anyone of anything. I’m here as an invested alumni, homeowner, and taxpayer, with a strong work ethic, an authentic passion for our community, and a relentless desire to keep it safe and thriving, who will only always stick to the facts available. This is not a show to me. I believe in doing good all of the time, not just when a photographer is nearby. I believe in supporting local businesses all of the time, not just when an election is approaching. Doing good in our community and supporting small businesses isn’t about receiving credit for it, if you have the right intentions. While I could list the many local businesses I’ve frequented or advertise community organizations that I’ve donated time, money or resources to during my 47+ years of residing in this community, I don’t feel the need to flaunt it… because to me, it’s nothing special or new. Showing up for my community in more ways than one isn’t just something I do, it’s something that is deeply woven into the fabric of who I am. I’ve been doing it for years, I’m currently doing it now, and I’ll continue to do it long after the election is over, win or lose. As you do your research and complete your ballots this primary, I hope that the public will again consider those who are truly invested in our community all of the time versus those who are simply involved at the right time in the months leading up to an election.
